Where does the time go?

Friday, March 28th, 2008

Planned to post regularly and it looks like regularly is about once a week.  Where does the time go?  This year is nearly 1/4 over!  How is that even possible?  What have I accomplished over the past 3 months?  Have I spent my time wisely?  I sure can’t get it back!  Seems the older I get (maybe this is due to rapidly approaching 50?) the more important it seems to not waste the time with which I’ve been blessed.  Every minute of every day is valuable and once it’s spent – well, no refunds.  So enough of this computer time – I’m off to my quilting room!

Southwest Style Panto

Sunday, March 23rd, 2008

Got a beautiful southwestern theme customer quilt done with a panto I designed and I’m really jazzed!  The quilt is mostly 6″ 9-patch blocks with some 6″x12″ or 12″ squares thrown in.  She requested edge-to-edge quilting with the exception of the (4) 12″ square blocks which have motifs she wanted echo quilted.  So I developed a southwest style panto on a 3″ grid which allowed for graceful stops and re-starts.  Very cool!

Officially un-snowed-in

Friday, March 7th, 2008

As of today, we are officially un-snowed-in.  Still needed 4WD with chains to get to the top of the hill but at least it can be done – finally.  It’s been 10 weeks.
