From where I sit, the plaid looks fine. Of course, I am viewing the project on my laptop screen, so don't have the view you do. Have you looked at it through a reducing glass? That often shows me either my mistakes, or that someting I thought was a mistake was not.

Actually, I use a pair of binoculars turned backwards instead of an official reducing glass & they work just as well.

Thanks for the heads up on the needles and thread you are using.

All the pieces you have posted look great! No one would ever suspect you are a novice at applique. Please keep posting your work. Grace.

I love seeing your pictures. I lived in the snow for only a year and a half when I was little. I remember we moved in after it had snowed just enough to not be able to see the yard........then it kept snowing until my dad had to go out and shovel enough snow away from the house so we wouldn't be totally buried. He also had to move the snow away from the house to try and keep the neighborhood dogs off the roof. We had a lot of fun...........

Where are you located? And since your post is old, how is the weather been these days? ( it's taken me way too long to read my email...) Tish

Thanks Sue, for the kind comments and pressing bars. They are great! And yes, I'm enjoying working on my projects without the distraction of having to go anywhere.

Hi, Crystal!

Nice blog--was great to see how things look up your side of the canyon. Simply amazing quantities of snow!

Hope the pressing bars will be helpful to you-Brenda loves hers.

Glad to hear you don't get cabin fever--I never did either. To me, getting snowed in was just a suspension of obligations, meaning I could stay home from work and sew, sew, sew! Unfortunately or not, it never snows in Big Flat, so I can't use the excuse like I did living up the North Fork. (Insert big sigh here for good times past).

Enjoy the snowy beauty, and enjoy working on your projects!
